Cinnamon Roll Crescents

This is a recipe for the easiest almost cinnamon rolls that you can make. Make them for yourself or for a group. It’s easy as pie, well, easier. This is my adaptation from a recipe I found on Pinterest.

Cinnamon Roll CrescentsIngredients
Rolls:
1 Pillsbury Crescents Roll
1 TBSP Butter / Margarine, melted
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 TBSP Cinnamon
Topping:
1/4 cup Confectionery Sugar
1 TBSP Milk

Directions
1. Roll the crescent rolls out onto a flat surface and separate each triangle.
2. Add a small amount of the melted butter/margarine onto each triangle, just enough to cover the dough.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover each triangle with a coating of the sugar mixture.
(Optional: Add an apple slice to the wide end of the crescent.)

4. Roll the dough, wide end to the middle end.
5. Once all doughs are rolled up, re-roll crescents in left over mixture on flat surface.
(Tip: I create crescents on the cooking sheet I am baking them on. This allows for excess sugar/cinnamon mixture to cook and absorb into the dough.)

6. Place on baking sheet and cook at 350 degrees until brown (around 10 minutes).

7. Mix the confectionery sugar and milk until reaching the desired consistency.
(Optional: Mix in a few drops of vanilla, coffee or other flavors to add a taste to the topping.)
8. Drizzle over warm crescents once they come out of the oven.

Texas Bucket List

Yes, I’m a huge fan of lists and per yesterday’s post, I’ve created a new one.

I’m not sure what the future holds, no clue at all really. There’s no telling how long I’ll be in Texas but I want to make sure that I see and do everything that I can! This list is a compile of recommendations that I’ve received from folks and things I’ve found on my own. If you have anything to add, please let me know and it’ll make it on the list! (I was also told that I’ve done more in Texas than the people who have lived here their entire lives and there’s no reason to make a bucket list, haha!)

  • Hike the Enchanted Rock
  • Kiss a cowboy (a real one, there’s a difference)
  • Weekend on the Wine Trail
  • Attend a couple more Stars games
  • Visit Bastrop
  • Visit Luckenbach one more time (it’s the greatest place in Texas)
  • Swing on up to Oklahoma to visit Miranda Lamberts store
  • Rodeo’s – catch as many as possible!
  • Stay at a ranch
  • Experience Austin via my friend Hogan
  • Float the river
  • Visit the Ross Perot Museum
  • Visit Garner State Park
  • Attend a Brahmas game
  • Attend a couple more Rangers games
  • Visit a rattlesnake farm
  • Hamilton Pool Reserves
  • Check out the caves outside of Austin
  • See a tornado (yes, I’m serious)
  • Make a glass blown ornament in Grapevine
  • Get this Texas Two Step down (this is happening!)
  • Get chicken fried steak at Mary’s Restaurant
  • Make a mean brisket
  • Learn some Southern Cookin’ recipes!
  • Buy a piece of Texas furniture.
  • Get my picture taken in Blue Bonnets!
  • Learn how to make sweet tea

Am I missing anything?! If you say pick up a Southern accent, I’m going to have to pass. I like the Vermont one that I apparently have but don’t! 🙂
