Cinnamon Roll Crescents
Recipe type: Breakfast / Dessert
Serves: 8
- Rolls:
- 1 Pillsbury Crescents Roll
- 1 TBSP Butter / Margarine, melted
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- ½ TBSP Cinnamon
- Topping:
- ¼ cup Confectionery Sugar
- 1 TBSP Milk
- Roll the crescent rolls out onto a flat surface and separate each triangle.
- Add a small amount of the melted butter/margarine onto each triangle, just enough to cover the dough.
- In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover each triangle with a coating of the sugar mixture.
- (Optional: Add an apple slice to the wide end of the crescent.)
- Roll the dough, wide end to the middle end.
- Once all doughs are rolled up, re-roll crescents in left over mixture on flat surface.
- (Tip: I create crescents on the cooking sheet I am baking them on. This allows for excess sugar/cinnamon mixture to cook and absorb into the dough.)
- Place on baking sheet and cook at 350 degrees until brown (around 10 minutes).
- Mix the confectionery sugar and milk until reaching the desired consistency.
- (Optional: Mix in a few drops of vanilla, coffee or other flavors to add a taste to the topping.)
- Drizzle over warm crescents once they come out of the oven.
