BlogHer ’13 Blog Hop #1: Introductions

This July, I will be heading to the BlogHer conference in Chicago and I couldn’t be more excited! BlogHer is a chance to meet with other bloggers, learn more about blogging and for everyone to expand their horizons! The Kavanaugh Report and The Naptown Organizer have put together a monthly link up for everyone attending so we can get to know each other a little better! There’s going to be a lot of people there!

Where do you blog?
Here, at Down Home Traveler! I love being able to share the places that I go, the people that I meet and the experiences that I have! I hope I encourage others to get out there and explore what’s around them!

What do you blog about?
Down Home Traveler is travel, food and music blog, which covers pretty much anything. Sometimes, you’ll find me driving around and I’ll write about everything that I come across and share some great photos! A new restaurant in town or one that I’ve heard about thru the grapevine, I’ll let you know what I thought! Music, who doesn’t love a live show… I’ll fill ya in on that front as well and give you tips about traveling along the way!

Is this your first time going to Blogher?
This is my first time going to BlogHer! I wish I could’ve gone last year as everyone says they have such a great time! I can’t wait!

What’s your favorite post you’ve written in the last year?
Just one?! I had a lot of fun last year attending the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Shiloh! There’s been so much, it’s hard to pick just one! (Gruene Hall and the San Antonio Missions were close.)

What are you most looking forward to at Blogher13?
Meeting everyone! This includes the friends I’ve made thru blogging but also the people that I’ve yet to meet!

Where else {Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Etc.} can we find you?

WW: Lipan, Texas

Last week, I shared with you my experience just outside of Fort Worth. (View, Peter Pan, Texas Sized Rocker and Natty Flat)Today, I wanted to share with you a few more pictures from my drive. In all seriousness, I never get sick of these back roads. The view is awesome. I kind of just want to pop open the hatch of my car and just sit back and enjoy the scenery.
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
There is nothing like taking pictures of these old shacks. I couldn’t get closer to this one. They had a no trespassing sign in their driveway / road.

Wild turkeys! I got kind of excited when I saw these and I thought of my brother. He would’ve started making the gobbling noises and if it was hunting season, there would’ve been at least one dead. When is turkey hunting season in Texas anyway?

You know me and my windmills!

…And fences!

One more old house!
Have a great Wednesday y’all!
Today I’m linking up with The Paper Mama, Jenni From the Blog and Project Alicia for {Wordless Wednesday}.

I recently had a chance to review the Glade Expressions Collection, the Fragrance Mist and Oil Diffuser! I’ve recently moved into a new apartment so the timing of trying these items and while wanting to keep my new home smelling “fresh” and “new” was phenomenal. Plus, these products are amazing!

The Fragrance Mist. Check out the new unique design. I like how it doesn’t look like the typical “mist”. It’s spruced up a bit and can blend into the decor a little more! The Starlit Evening scent is lovely! It’s brings a great scent to any room!

The Oil Diffuser fits in perfectly with the items in my apartment. I’m really convinced, the artsy design would fit in with any kind of style in a home!

Where it really counts is the long lasting scent. I usually find that air fresheners don’t last a typically long time, but these last and remain fresh! I tried the lavender scent and it’s definitely warm, inviting and long lasting (but not overwhelmingly too strong). It’ll definitely fill a large room, it fills my entire apartment!

Springtime is right around the corner. The Glade Expressions Collection has some great scents to bring in the new season. These items are affordable and can be found at your local superstore. Your home will being to smell fresh, clean, warm and inviting in a matter of seconds and last all month!

Disclaimer: Please note, I did receive these items for free thru BuzzAgent however my opinions are my own.
