The other weekend, I did something that I’ve never done before – GeoCaching. For those who are not familiar with GeoCaching, it’s basically a scavenger hunt for unknown objects.
In a nutshell, there’s app’s (and a website) that everyone can view. It’ll show what’s available in the area near you and provide coordinates and clues to find “the prize”. The “prize” is in some kind of container which holds almost any kind of object. You can take the object, leave it, add more to the container, basically whatever you want but at the very least, leave what you found.
I can’t imagine doing this without a phone as a navigation system.
The first three objects we tried to find, we couldn’t. Since this was the first time that I’ve tried this, I was getting a little frustrated, wondering where the heck are these people hiding these little treasures?!
FINALLY, we found one and it was absolutely worth the wait.
