There was so much to see this year at the Texas Steak Cookoff and Wine Festival! I couldn’t include it all in one post. Here is a follow up on some of my favorite sights of the food and the people during the third weekend in May!
The Food
It can’t get much better than smelling hot grills and delicious food, all day long!
The Wine
The Company
Family, old friends and new friends – you can find them all here. It’s time for everyone to get together and have a great time!
Today I’m linking up with Communal Global, The Jenny Evolution, Photography Essentials and Create With Joy for {Wordless Wednesday}.
Mmm, that food looks delicious! I hadn’t heard of the Texas Steak Cook-Off and Wine Festival before; it sounds like something my husband and I would really enjoy. Maybe we’ll get to check it out next year!
Ah – you should definitely go! Bring sunscreen and a cooler of beverages and you’ll be set for the entire day!
How fun! The food looks delicious (& the wine too). I love that pig painted as a Texas flag. And I also love reading all the different names of the smokers/grills/etc.
I know – the pig is super cute! I love checking out the smokers – the truck is my favorite as well. I have a thing for old trucks. Someday, I’ll have one!
That all looks super good!
It’s a delicious day of eating and enjoying some of Texas’ finest! The cookoff is a lot of fun to attend, you’ll get hooked after your first year.
The food looks amazing and yummy, wine as well, what more could you want

Always enjoy finding bloggers that live in the areas surround Dallas and Austin. Enjoyed your post about the Hico Texas Steak Cookoff. Looks like a fun festival.
Thank you! The festival was a lot of fun – a great way to spend the day in the Hill Country!
That looks like so much fun! What city is it in?
I’m on the venture to find the best ribeye in the Houston area. 😉
Hico, Texas. Definitely worth the trip!
This looks so so fun! Where was this?
This was in Hico – just South of Stephenville.
