Texas landmarks. We hear them in Texas Country songs. We read about them. They are legendary. Stubbs Bar-B-Q. Austin, Texas.
Restaurant. Music Venue. History.
Walking in, I noticed the restaurant area is much smaller than I would’ve thought. We came in mid-day over the first weekend of ACL. There were only a few groups. Memorabilia on the walls. Oh if these walls could talk! Rustic. Amazing.
We sat outside overlooking the outdoor stage / venue area. Next to us sat a group who were at ACL. I’m pretty sure that they played however I was too bashful to ask who they were.
Stubbs is known for being a music venue and for their BBQ sauce (check out your local grocery store). I was interested in the food. I am a sucker for a good brisket sandwich. It won’t be passed up. Let me tell you… Delicious.
Yum – I love me some good BBQ!
(semi-related: how did you get words on your pictures? PicMonkey?)

I Love Stubbs! One of my favorite bbq places and an awesome place to catch live music! Looks like ya’ll had fun =)
Austin is just one of those places that you can’t help but love! Can’t wait to go back!
I love brisket sandwiches, and that one looks amazing! And I love that Merle Haggard sign…looks like such a cool place. Adding this to my list of places we need to go on our next Austin trip 🙂
That Merle sign just made my day. I really wanted to just take it right off the wall and bring it home!
I’ve never been to the actual restaurant but I’ve had their bbq sauce and it’s really yummy!!
