Saturday, May 17th, the annual Texas Steak Cookoff and Wine Festival in Hico, Texas is taking place. Here is your reminder and a few details about this great event! Mark your calendars!
Steak Cookoff
- Opening Ceremony 12pm
- $25 Ticket – Receive a bracelet which will allow you to enjoy the Hors d’oeurves (beginning at 10am) and the 12 ounce ribeye dinner in the afternoon cooked to your perfection by the team of your choice. ($10 for wristband only, does not include ribeye dinner.)
- Over 90 teams cooking and competing!
- Winners announced at 7pm. Prizes for top teams ranging from $500 – $2,500.
VIP Dinner
- $100 Ticket
- Enjoy a VIP dining experience in a private courtyard.
- Steaks will be cooked by celebrity chef Brian C. Lusher, owner of The Grape Restaurant in Dallas.
- Be sure to buy your tickets in advance. This sold out in 2013!
Live Entertainment all day including a fiddling contest!
Wine Tasting
- $20 Admission
- 11am – 5pm
- Receive a commemorative glass.
- 10+ wineries from the great state of Texas.
- Opportunity to speak to wine makers and vineyard owners!
- Glass / Bottle purchases available.
PBR Rodeo
- $30 Admission (2 Day Event)
- Begins at 7:30pm and will continue on Sunday, May 18th.
- 30+ Riders!
- Cody Ohl, legendary roper from Hico, Texas and one of the highest nationwide earners is hosting this event on his property 3 miles outside of town.
