Stubbs Bar-B-Q

Stubbs BBQTexas landmarks. We hear them in Texas Country songs. We read about them. They are legendary. Stubbs Bar-B-Q. Austin, Texas.
Restaurant. Music Venue. History.

Stubbs BBQWalking in, I noticed the restaurant area is much smaller than I would’ve thought. We came in mid-day over the first weekend of ACL. There were only a few groups. Memorabilia on the walls. Oh if these walls could talk! Rustic. Amazing.

We sat outside overlooking the outdoor stage / venue area. Next to us sat a group who were at ACL. I’m pretty sure that they played however I was too bashful to ask who they were.

Stubbs BBQ

Stubbs is known for being a music venue and for their BBQ sauce (check out your local grocery store). I was interested in the food. I am a sucker for a good brisket sandwich. It won’t be passed up. Let me tell you… Delicious.

The Homes of Lake Austin

Matthew McConaughey, Andy Rodderick and Brooklyn Decker are among an elite list of those who live on Lake Austin. If you haven’t had a chance, taking the boat out on the lake itself is amazing for a day of fishing, boating, relaxing, wake boarding but checking out the homes along the shore just spice things up even more.

Lake Austin Homes, TX (9)This post seemed appropriate for Wordless Wednesday as some of these homes made my jaw drop, left me speechless and made me question what all these people did for a profession. I’ve never seen so many infinity pools all lined up in a row. Maybe it’s growing up in the country but I’m still flabbergasted when I see homes this big.

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze

Each fall, Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze in Grapevine, Texas opens their gates to hundreds of visitors coming to take photos and to enjoy some fall country activities within a huge metroplex of an area. Run by a family, it’s a place for families and friends to congregate and enjoy some fun fall activities.

Hall's Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze 2013While my friends were up from Austin, we headed over to check out the corn maze. For a bunch of “Yankees” in the South, it’s the closest thing we can get to a real fall festival like we have back home.

First up – the corn maze. Spread across two acres, you can get lost and you can’t cheat!
