The checkout aisle can surprisingly bring upon the best snacks and even creations for a dessert. It’s not just for the mid-day snacks, it’s also for the after dinner treats. How easy is to to be on-the-go and grab your favorite treat? One of my favorites is SNICKERS® and they’ve just come out with a couple more flavors to take on the road or your favorite hike. I’ve even found a way to incorporate them into a tasty dessert.
Have you seen the Peanut Butter Squares or SNICKERS® Almond bars? I recently came upon them in the check out aisle at my local grocer (which are new to me). Not only did I grab a couple for an upcoming day trip but also for a recipe to bring into for my co-workers.
The recipe I made for my co-workers was super easy! Here we go…
First, I chopped and combined the SNICKERS® bars and apples and placed them into the pie dish and drizzled them with the caramel sauce.
Next, I poured the Cool Whip, condensed milk and cream cheese mixture on top. The final touch was placing fresh cut apple slices on top for the full effect. Yum!
This is a great treat for the fall or even for the extra crisp affect coming into the spring season.
- Graham Cracker Pie Crust
- 3 Almond SNICKERS® bars, chopped
- 2 Green apples, cubed
- 1 Green apple, sliced
- ¼ c. Caramel Ice Cream Topping
- 2½c. Cool Whip
- ¼ c. Condensed Milk
- 4 oz. Cream Cheese
- Mix chopped SNICKERS® pieces and the two cubed green apples and place in the bottom of the pie crust.
- Drizzle ¼ cup Caramel on top.
- Combine Cool Whip, condensed milk and cream cheese and fold over the top of the SNICKERS® and green apple mixture.
- Drizzle with caramel and extra SNICKERS® pieces.
- Refrigerate for a few hours or serve immediately. (I'd recommend just serving immediately.)
- Top with the additional sliced apple and serve immediately.

Although making the recipe was fun, I made sure to grab a couple extra bars for my next adventure out on the road. Whether it be hiking, biking or even checking out a show, I know that I won’t go hungry with these on hand!

What’s your favorite way to eat a SNICKERS®?
That looks yummy. I usually just eat them by themselves, but at the Cheesecake Factory the other day they had Snickers cheesecake which sounded delicious.

Just dig in Liz 😉 The CF is amazing!
I love this pie idea. When the weather starts to turn, I love to find cool desserts instead of the heavy ones we enjoy all winter! This looks delicious! #client
