Imagine driving down Farm Road 290 between Peaster and Weatherford, Texas. A two lane road surrounded by fences, open fields, the occasional home or two and every so often if you pay attention, you’ll pass thru a tiny town. Then up ahead you see a little pull off area.
Would you ever guess there would be a truck ready to sell oysters, shrimp and alligator meat over 300 miles from the closest coast?
Neither did I….
Guess he’s been here for years although my friend from this area said he’s never stopped.
Makes you wonder!

The most random thing! There was absolutely no one around and over 300 miles to the closest coast. Odd, to me anyway, haha. Have a great weekend!
There used to be a steak guy in my hometown that sold out of the back of his truck. 🙂 I never realized goods being sold from the back of a truck was a just Texan thing. 😉 Happy New Year!

I don’t think its so much of a Texas things as selling fresh shrimp, oysters and alligator meat over 300 miles from a coast, haha.
Haha! I love it! Yeah, I don’t think I would EVER buy that stuff so far away from the coast. 🙂

Okay, I’ve lived in Texas my entire life and have never heard of Peaster. ha! Texas has so many towns. But this? Hilarious! I wonder how fresh it really is….hmm!

Peaster is right outside of Weatherford. The only way I really know it was there is because I work with someone who grew up there. These small towns! You blink and you may miss it! The freshness…. I would find questionable, haha! But good for that guy – bring a little coast to the remote areas!
