This summer, I’m trying to focus on healthier snacking. It’s an area that’s easily overlooked during this super busy season but I’ve decided it doesn’t have to be! Traveling, attending various events – it’s all too easy to just grab fast food. I’m saying no more! On a recent trip to Walmart (my one stop shop), I found three products that will allow me to keep up with lots of events and activities and keep the healthy eating mentality!
Fruits, vegetables and protein are my focus areas:
• I love fruit, especially fresh fruit, however I have a texture issue with some of them.
• Vegetables, I have a harder time with and need to up the ante.
• Protein – we all need protein! It’s super easy to snack on “junk food” because it’s convenient and not always healthy and nourishing but can be a pain and super expensive to find them.
Edy’s Outshine Fruit and Veggie Bars, Edy’s Outshine Fruit Bars and Pepperoni Hot Pockets have made their way into my freezer. One, their affordable and won’t go bad within a weeks time. Two, they provide all the nourishment I need for a healthy snack. Three, there’s no texture issues as the fruit bars hit the spot.
Then there are those late nights, returning back from a baseball game, concert, day drive to a cold, A/C filled apartment where I just want to cozy up and eat something warm. I have the Hot Pocket, filled with premium meat and real cheese (and this Vermonter loves her cheese) to ensure my protein intake. Perfect-o!
These are a couple of the ways that I’ll be sticking to my healthier snacking frame of mind this summer! What are your healthy snacking tips or do you already love these products too?!
Oooh, Diana, these snack ideas make my ready for some summer adventures! Thanks for the reminder about the yummy Nestle products! 🙂

They’re delicious. I’m especially excited about the fruit bars – just hoping they dont melt too quickly when it heats up!
I do like the bars that are made with fruit.. esp coconut! My go to snack in the summer.. that is tough.. I am hoping it will be too hot and I won’t want to eat.
The coconut is my favorite – its delicious!
MMM, Hot Pockets. Love them.
I love creating a snack drawer in the fridge and the pantry to keep healthy easy-to-grab snacks for the summer months. That way my kids and I know where to go for healthy choices. #client
