A couple weeks ago, I hurt my foot after a run. With spring in the air, it was a pretty huge hindrance as staying active helps me feel fit and is a huge stress reliever. Heading anywhere with a sore foot was the last thing I wanted to do. Then I came up with this great idea of putting together an Active On the Go kit that will assist in relieving pain, no matter where I am. Let’s talk being preventative!I headed down to my local Walgreens, because I knew they would have everything that I needed and maybe some items that I haven’t thought of yet. My goal was to have products that would relieve pain, no matter where I was, running, biking, yoga or even a local hike.
The following products were part of my gold mine: Walgreens Pain Reliever Extra Strength Quick Gels 100ct, Walgreens Advanced Antibacterial Strong Strips, Band-Aid Advanced Healing for Blisters, Fingers & Toes, Icy Hot Patch, Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes. All of these products were purchased for under $20, found around the pain reliever area and I saved even more by being a Walgreens Balance Reward member.Since it’s just me, I personalized this according to my activities and needs however if you have children you could definitely add other items such as Walgreens Infants Pain and Fever or Walgreens even has Children’s Pain and Fever Suspension Liquid Bubble Gum (definitely didn’t have that when I was a kid)! This is also a great place to throw in some backup allergy medicine because Texas for sure does have its days!
Walgreens has a ‘Walgreens Way to Well Commitment’ as you can see on some of the labels. With the purchase of each Walgreens brand Health and Wellness product, $0.01 will be donated will support preventative wellness services to local communities (up to $3 million annually). Supporting a business that supports the community is always an added bonus!

The upcoming spring and summer season is a great time to revisit wellness kits. It’s affordable, convenient and definitely a great preparation in staying active and well this spring and summer!
What’s in your wellness kit?
I love having Icy Hot patches on hand. And of course I always have some kind of extra strength pain relievers.

Definitely two great things to have “just in case”!
I have never seen Band-Aids for blisters! Those are genius!

Sometimes, they just seem to do the trick!
Hope your foot is feeling better now. I know that foot pain and back pain can really slow me down. Luckily I try to avoid it, but I’m human. Love that Walgreens fits into your active lifestyle. #client
Thank you! It is! Plus, it’s so much better (mentally) to be prepared just in case something like this happens again!
I usually scoot by with just some ibuprofen but on my trip this weekend I’ve gotta be prepared with a bit more. I’m thinking with a 5 year old boy I should invest in those antibacterial strips for sure!
With a five year old, a little backup will always be a good thing! Thanks for stopping by!
These patches do not really work for me. I suffer with plantar fasciitis as well so I know how bad these kinds of pain can be. I hope you get better soon. Cheers

I suffer with heel pain as well and it is normally quite bad some mornings when I wake up. I was told by a doctor friend of mine that my plantar fascia is stretched and once it warms up in the morning the pain will stop. What I do now is to do some foot exercises on my bed to warm up my foot before stepping out. This has really helped. You can try this guys
