On my drive up Highway 377 the other weekend, I came across a few small towns. Some towns I just need to stop for a second and take it in. Here is one of them – Pilot Point, Texas.
Pilot Point is a small town north of Denton. The town square caught my eye. Founded in 1845, the town is home to about 4,000 people. This is the oldest town in Denton County. The Shawnee Trail and Chisholm Trail both passed thru this area and was an important route to Native Americans and cattle drivers alike. Oh the small Texas town.
Driving through, one can’t help but take a quick look around. The buildings are historic.Have you passed through any small towns? Any favorites?
I have been through pilot point. I think my favorites are off 377. Waxahachie has a nice one.

377 does have some great towns along the way! It’s definitely nice to get out of the metroplex and see them every once in a while!
Not very far from where I live, only about twenty minutes or so. Fun fact about that bank is that Bonnie and Clyde robbed it!

That’s pretty awesome! I did not know that!
The bank was also in the movie with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway
