This past weekend my friend Amy and I participated in the Color Run. This was new for both of us but a whole lot of fun. Unfortunately, I don’t have that many pictures since we didn’t want to bring our phones thru but we still got a few pictures of each other before we left the grounds.
The color is actually corn starch and I think it comes off clothes much easier than skin. It drove me crazy having it on my face throughout the race so I kept wiping it off. Then, it felt like I was in the shower for an hour after the race (it gets everywhere).Throughout the race, you run thru certain zones where volunteers are set up to throw some of the color on you (some were better than others). After the race, more volunteers are around to blow (with a leaf blower) the color off.
The race was a lot of fun! Many happy, happy people!Have you ever participated in a Color Run?
How fun! This has been on my bucket list for quite some time. Looks like you guys had a blast!

The Happiest 5k sure loved having you! We can’t wait to get colorful with you again!
I’m a lifelong runner and have yet to do a full-on color run. Looks like fun!

Super fun (although a little early). Thanks!
How did I miss this post?!?! I’ve never done a Color Run, but it looks like fun. Except maybe not the leafblower part… I love that shot of your running shoes afterwards!

Haha – really not the leaf blower? I think my friend Amy and I both looked a little puzzled for a second. Do they have things like this in England (like Tough Mudder or the Color Run)?
I have no idea! I haven’t run any races in over a year, so I’m completely out of the running loop!
