Another awesome show at the Levitt Pavilion with another new band, well new to me anyway.
Let me introduce you to The Josh Weathers and the True Endeavors.
Playing “Texas Rock and Soul”, they play mostly cover songs Friday night at the Levitt. At one point during the show, Josh sang “I Will Always Love You” by Dolly Parton and he blew everyone away. Man oh man can he sing. He captures your entire attention and you just can’t help but be mesmerized by his talent.
They played other covers ranging from the 60’s – 80’s, including “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” by the Temptations. One of my favorites.
Levitt was packed, as usual. However maybe I haven’t been to the “right” shows but by the end of the show there was actually a crowd up at the stage dancing and really lovin’ the music. It was the first show that I have been at that the band has really got the crowd up and moving and keeping them there all night. It was great to see.
I wasn’t able to get a picture of the drummer, but near the end of the show, he played at least a five minute (probably longer) solo. A bandmate have him sips of water in between, he didn’t miss a beat. It was insane!
Mr. Sax player – you are amazing. You are wicked. This guy can play the hell out that instrument.
Josh and the band came out and played an encore of two songs at the end of the show.
If the crowd had their way, I think they would’ve just played all night.
This group is so talented from vocals to instrumental, they have it down.
They play throughout the Texas region – be sure to check out their website and grab a show when you can!
