Watertowers

I remember when I first moved to Texas, Heather told me that if I ever got lost, just to look for the water towers and they would help me out. (I doubt she even remembers telling me that.) At the time, I just kind of overlooked the fact of what she was saying. Now, I look for them, just to look for them and well, you can’t really miss them. I love capturing them in photos – maybe it’s just the fact that we didn’t have them back in Vermont like we do in Texas.

Last weekend, I took a little drive northwest of Fort Worth and drove thru a couple small towns. This is what I came up with.

I love how I was able to grab the Texas flag in this photo. Texans and their pride. Something to say that the Texas flag is blowing the the American one is not.

This last one, was near the Texas Motor Speedway. Talk about old and rusted.
Love how this one came out too.

this is a great set of images, Diana! love the transition into b/w on your last image. Water towers, especially the older ones, have so much character … nope, they sure don’t make them like they used to! We also have family in Texas, and have been talking about moving there, ourselves! This is my first visit from both Sweet Shot Tuesday, and Live and Love Out Loud. Have a great day! 🙂
